Catching Up

I'm sorry for not posting very much. At times I feel like my life is kind of boring and no one wants to read about it, but then other times I when I do have something interesting, I never have apicture available. I kinda feel blogs are sometimes boring without pictures but I will go ahead and write a post today anyway.

I have started looking for jobs for next year. SO far I have applied at Austin ISD, Eanes, Lake Travis, Del Valle and BCA(Bannockburn Christian Academy). So far I have only had one interview and that was with BCA. I think it went really well. Right before I went I bought a new suit from NewYork and Co. so I felt very confident when walking in. They asked some pretty hard questions, but I think my challenging experiences here at Buda really helped me come up with some good answers. At the end of my interview, the board member who was there said that I answered the question well and that if she had the authority she would hire me on the spot. That made me assume that they liked my answers. :) I won't know anything about that job until May 15.

In other news, Joel and I got a dog. It was not a planned thing at all!! About a month ago we went to the Bellview's house. There was this cute black lab puppy there playing with all the other dogs who reside at their house. Megan told us about how she found this dog they call "Maggie" chasing 18-wheelers on the side of the road. Megan immediatly snatched her up and took her home. For about a week, she tried to find Maggie's owners. Megan got really sad when no owners turned up and she realized she was going to be unable to keep this sweet dog (who by the way was already potty trained, sat on command, fetched, and came to the name Maggie). After the sob story Megan gave us, I was already ready to take Maggie home. Joel wasn't quite sure until Megan started telling Joel how she was going to have to take her to the pound and she was going to live in a crowded cage with other dogs. Joel gave in and we decided Maggie would be our baby!! We decided to keep the name Maggie since she already responded well to it. That night we went to Wal-mart and got all the dog supplies we needed. Maggie has been with us for a month now and I can count on my hand how many times she has gone potty in the apartment...that's pretty darn good for a puppy. And then when she does do something bad, she is too cute to stay mad at for longer than 5 minutes...just ask Joel.

Also since my last post one of my best friends, Meagan, just had her baby. Let me just say that I am so in love with this bundle of joy. Hudson is the cutest baby in the world. Every time I drive by their house(which is every day since its on my way to work) I want to stop in and hold him for a few moments (and his mom too!). I convince myself not to only because I know I will be spending a lot of time withhim this summer as I will be his nanny!! Just call me Nanny Dani!! ;)

Well that's all I got. Hopefully I will start updating more, but if not....see you in a month.
