Student Teaching

I enjoy reading others post more than posting my own. I don't feel I have anything interesting to write about. At the moment I am babysitting and i don't want to be watching Spongebob so I guess I will post something.

I have started student teaching. Let me tell you that teaching is not for the weak!!!

-You don't get to sleep...5:30 comes earlier and earlier every morning.
-You don't have a second to yourself...somewhere between the teaching, meetings, parent conferences, and the "Mrs. Cowen, Mrs. Cowen, watch this..." I have to find time to pee.
-You're at school from 7:00-4:00...those sound like pretty good hours until you realize that your evenings at home are not your own either. Those are spent grading papers, figuring out how to modify bad behavior, and lesson planning.
-You plan every second of your day and begin to think that this is going to be the perfect day until you get an e-mail that day saying there will be an hour long assembly at 8:00....there goes the perfect day.

Then just to add a bonus to all of this...instead of getting paid to do it, I get to pay Texas State to do it!!!

I believe if you want to go into teaching you have to be somewhat crazy...I guess that means I'm a little loopy because I love every second of it!!! I can't wait to get my own class. :)
