It's been awhile

A lot has happened since my last post. First of all, Joel and I are engaged!! If you didn't know by now, you must have fallen off the planet. Joel and i may have finally found a reception site that fits in our budget and that we both like. I'm so relieved because planning is kind of at a halt until you have a reception site picked out. You can't get invitation because you need to have where the reception is written on them. You can't look for caterers because you don't know if the site will allow it. You can't book a DJ cuz they wanna know how far they wll have to drive, etc. So, you definitely need a site before you can continue planning. I'm very happy to be this close to having it picked out.
I already got my dress which actually happened to be half off, God was definitely helping us out on that one. I have almost completely picked out the bridesmaid dresses, but I am very close to making the decision. Let's see, what else have we done so far....we are going cake testing next weekend so that should be fun.
Last time i blogged i wrote about my aunt marty who was diagnosed with cancer on her lungs. They did some tests and discovered that it hadn't moved to her brain and that the lump in her lungs was actually stage 1-b cancer, meaning that is operable. She goes in this week or next to start talking about the surgery. We are very excited because the lump is the size of a tennis ball, so we thought it had to be past stage one. Thank you Lord!!
Ok i'm tired now so I'm off to bed!!
